This year Ash Wednesday is on Wednesday 5th March, this is the beginning of Lent. It is a day of fasting and abstinence.
A series of 6 talks have been prepared for this Lent. We are providing advanced notice of these talks to enable you to make preparations that will assure your participation.

Every Sunday at Mass, after the sermon, we stand and together say the Creed. We might think of it as a prayer but, in fact, it is more a public statement or affirmation of our beliefs, both as individuals and as a community.
The Creed is a theological summary of the basic beliefs of the Church.
Over the centuries, scholars, theologians, bishops, and popes have sought to clarify just exactly what we believe.
These six talks provide an opportunity for each of us to learn a little more of what the Church teaches about these essential tenets of our faith that we publicly proclaim every week.
One of the themes of this Holy Year 2025 is that “We are an Easter People and are pilgrims of hope”.
The Creed is a statement that underpins our unshakeable hope and our pilgrim journey.
Each of the six sessions will look at one of the key subjects of the Creed and examine what it means and its implications for our Christian lives.
Come along to one or all of the talks and you will learn a little more about our faith and have the opportunity to enrich your own spiritual life.
